KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves welcoming, guiding, and assisting patients and visitors with professionalism and efficiency throughout their experience.

Responsibilities include scheduling and registering patients, ensuring accurate data collection, determining service eligibility, and advising patients on payment policies while managing the monitoring and collection of outstanding balances.

The Healthcare Access Coordinator is also tasked with overseeing the waiting area, keeping patients informed about wait times, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service to a diverse patient population.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic financial management skills, including cash handling and processing payments.
  • Proficiency in navigating various software applications, including EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience in a reception role within a healthcare, dental, or social services environment.
  • Strong financial record-keeping or accounting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
