Position Overview
The Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the Distribution Services team, ensuring efficient dispatching of transport requests through the Capacity Management system. This position requires strong leadership and the ability to guide staff in compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all transport requests for patients and visitors across various departments within the facility.
- Provide timely feedback to transport staff regarding performance and quality measures to enhance service delivery.
- Respond to departmental inquiries, offering updates on any delays or challenges encountered during patient and equipment transport.
- Supervise and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and compliant work environment.
- Oversee the completion of staff schedules and timesheets, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Distribute uniforms and maintain necessary inventory levels.
- Collaborate on departmental policies to ensure safe and efficient transport operations.
- Generate and analyze Capacity Management reports, utilizing MS Excel to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Engage in staff training and development, providing support and guidance as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree with a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, or three years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Understanding of patient transport practices and throughput.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Three or more years of experience in a large healthcare facility.
- One or more years of supervisory experience.
