About the Role:
Gallagher Bassett Technical Services is seeking a qualified professional to join our Construction Site Safety Operations team as an On-site Construction Safety Supervisor for the Florida Regional area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure client sites perform all required actions and duties related to system safety compliance, fire/life safety, safety training, required safety certification, emergency procedures, plans, and drills, and any other on-site safety/risk management compliance.
- Experience and understanding of the construction work being performed and all safety, health, and security implications related to roadway construction and utility projects.
- Prepare daily safety inspection reports and related audits for system readiness.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings, perform site orientations, and coordinate contractors and other safety personnel for daily construction activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED with effective written and oral communication skills.
- Computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Successful completion of the 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health (29 CFR 1926) Course.
- Valid driver's license and reliable motor vehicle transportation.
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods, lift pounds, have good hearing and vision, and work in all types of seasonal weather and temperature conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of commercial building construction safety-related experience.
- Completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health (29 CFR 1926) Course.
- Knowledge of OSHA construction standard regulations and state/local building code/safety regulations.
- Excellent observation skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
