Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Die Repair Specialist to join our team at GLOBAL Recruitment Solutions LLC. This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled professional to repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • To receive instructions and information from Team Leaders and/or Supervisors, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Transport, clean, disassemble, repair, and reassemble casting and trim dies using various equipment such as lift trucks, die cleaning equipment, and cranes.
  • To build and replace segments, cores, details, and parts from blueprints, utilizing required tools or equipment, promoting precision and quality.
  • The successful candidate will draw polish or grind die cavity surfaces using necessary tools or equipment, demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Maintenance of high-quality standards involves making repairs, removing stuck castings, correcting dimensional problems, changing cores, and trim punches while casting and trim dies are mounted on machines.
  • In addition to repair duties, the candidate will perform welding tasks in the foundry and the Die Repair Department, showcasing versatility and adaptability.
  • Troubleshooting production tooling issues, performing repairs and maintenance as needed, will be a critical aspect of this role.
  • Efficient completion of forms, die work orders, pictorials, signoffs, and records as directed by supervision is essential.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols, and training new employees will contribute to the success of the department.
Requirements

This position requires:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Tool & Die Repair, with up to 2 years' training provided for candidates without the necessary background.
  • Possession of Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers is mandatory.
  • An Associate's Degree, trade school certification, or equivalent journey person certificate is preferred.

Skillset Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to draw, polish, or grind die cavity surfaces using required tools or equipment.
  • Experience with blueprint reading, segment building, core replacement, and part fabrication is essential.
  • The ability to perform welding duties in the foundry and the Die Repair Department is crucial.
Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
