The Opportunity
As a Flex Clinical Services Specialist - Phlebotomy, you'll provide an exceptional experience for our patients and help them accomplish an important part of their care journey by providing venipuncture, dispensary responsibilities, as well as other clinical support services. You will be an ambassador for patients in office, with a mastery of human connection and a strong drive for service.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide Best-in-Class Venipuncture Services: Offer high-quality phlebotomy services to a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Maintain High Standards of In-Office Care: Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization.
- Dispensary Responsibilities: Verify counts, maintain inventory, place orders, receive and stock prescriptions for patient pick-up.
- Continuing Patient Support: Answer patient messages, follow up on lab cases, and assist providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties.
- Front-of-House Duties: Perform check-in/check-out, insurance verification, printing/paperwork tasks, prepping tests, and meet service level expectations.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist senior patients with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, sending faxes, and coordinating transportation.
Requirements
- Certifications: Active phlebotomy certification to practice in WA and at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.
- Teamwork: Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus).
