Climbing Wall Route Setter

The Department of Campus Recreation at Penn State University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Climbing Wall Route Setter.
Responsibilities:
Set routes at the top rope wall and bouldering areas
Maintain walls and equipment, cleaning climbing holds and rotating routes on a routine basis (6-8 week rotation)
Attend mandatory staff meetings and route setting staff clinics
Possess a desire to learn new skills, develop leadership abilities, and interact with others in dynamic and challenging settings
Requirements:
Prior climbing experience required
Route setting experience preferred but not required
Must be a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary
Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary
CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred but not required
