Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and activity
  • Provide support to veterinarians and assist other departments as needed
  • Run anesthetic procedures and monitor patients
  • Operate ventilators, anesthetic machines, monitoring devices, and MRI equipment
  • Provide comfort, diagnostic, surgical, and nursing care to patients
  • Collect and prepare samples for diagnostic testing, including blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, urinary catheter sampling, and free catch urine
  • Maintain and properly use medical equipment
  • Communicate effectively with clients and run patient appointments

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician
  • A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills to daily work life
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in technician protocols
  • Reliability and follow-through with work-related tasks and projects
