Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in flow cytometry, immunology, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, and statistics. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary scientists, leading and training individuals, and contributing to the development of various flow cytometry and sorting platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and execute assays in our drug development platforms.
- Interface with external collaborators and CROs to coordinate project proposals, plans, and study execution, ensuring seamless data and sample acquisition, reagent sourcing, and assay transfer.
- Develop and author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal study report templates, and scientific reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Design, develop, and transfer assays for use in nonhuman primate models and clinical settings, leveraging expertise in flow cytometry.
- Facilitate internal operational activities, including shipping and receiving, sample and reagent management, study planning, forecasting, scheduling, and coordination.
- PhD, PharmD, or MD with relevant post-doc experience.
- Expertise in multiparametric flow cytometry assays, including multicolor phenotyping of immune cells, receptor occupancy, and immune-based functional assays.
- Experience implementing flow cytometry techniques to generate orthogonal data and controls for new areas of interrogation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high degree of motivation, creativity, and collaborative qualities.
- Previous experience working in a matrixed environment to implement biomarker assay development.
- Project management skills to meet critical timelines associated with various activities necessary to support biomarker assessment of preclinical samples.
- Demonstrated track record of critical independent thinking, troubleshooting ability, and innovative approaches to solve complex questions through high-impact publications.
- Competency with flow cytometry analysis software, data analysis software, and electronic lab notebook platforms.
- Experience with cell culture and cell isolation techniques, as well as lab operational activities.
