Job Description:

The Attendant is a key member of the NOVA Parks team, responsible for ensuring a positive experience for our guests. This role involves assisting with the operation and maintenance of our waterpark facilities.

Salary:

$13.50 per hour

Responsibilities:
  • Assists with facility operations by registering guests, collecting fees, operating cash registers, and issuing receipt tickets; selling merchandise and preparing food and beverages.
  • Greets park visitors, handles inquiries, provides information and assistance, and informs patrons of rules and regulations.
  • Maintains a clean work area, provides general care of equipment, materials, and grounds, including using lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and string trimmers.
  • Picks up ground trash, weeds, landscapes beds, cleans restrooms, and performs manual labor as assigned.
  • Answers telephone calls and directs inquiries.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-service training.
  • Reports unsafe conditions, theft, or illegal actions to the Manager on Duty.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash accurately.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to learn facility operations and obtain a working knowledge of NOVA Parks.
  • Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Ability to perform custodial tasks.
  • Availability to work variable schedules, including early and late hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Required to purchase and wear standard uniform.
  • Specialized duties may require special training and certifications.
