Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate care to residents in a long-term care setting. This role involves working on a 13-week contract, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Support residents with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing and toileting.
- Prepare meal trays and monitor food and fluid intake, assisting with feeding as necessary.
- Help residents with mobility, ensuring they are stable when transitioning between locations.
- Maintain cleanliness in residents' living spaces and assist in preventing bedsores for those who are bedridden.
- Provide basic oral, ear, and eye care to residents.
- Uphold resident confidentiality and treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
- Report any resident complaints, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid NYS Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing.
- Availability to work 4 shifts per week, each lasting 8 hours.
- Current physical examination and up-to-date immunizations, including MMR and PPD.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screening.
- Positive references and reliable transportation are required.
- A collaborative attitude towards co-workers, patients, and nursing staff is essential.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $19 - $21 hourly, reflecting our commitment to providing competitive compensation for our staff.
