Job Title: Senior Licensed Practical Nurse II

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Senior Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team in the Recovery Room. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our nursing practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing emotional support to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Act as a mentor and preceptor to new staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices and technologies, and share knowledge with colleagues to promote best practices.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an LPN in a hospital setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
