About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Café Associate to join our team at Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods, Inc. As a key member of our café team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure customers are greeted timely and kindly welcomed.
  • Share product knowledge enthusiastically and accurately to elevate service and increase sales.
  • Operate a cash register with a high level of accuracy.
  • Take accurate orders in a timely manner.
  • Stock shelves and ensure proper merchandise rotation.
  • Ensure beverage, food, and merchandise is properly tagged, stickered, and displayed.
  • Remain friendly and service-oriented, even during times of long lines and high traffic.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, safe, and respectful environment for guests and employees.
  • Clean and restock workstations and beverage stations and ensure all equipment is sanitized.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store, restaurant, and coffee area.
  • Engage customers in a sincere, friendly, and professional manner, asking about their drink and food preferences, making suggestions when appropriate while noting allergies.
  • Confront and resolve difficult situations in a proactive, objective, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
  • Ensure that the company's brand is properly reflected by keeping a well-maintained, clean, well-organized, and stocked counter and food window area.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, groups, peers, management, and the general public.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and operate all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
  • Comply with Bob's Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a fast-paced specialty coffee environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a food handler's card.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an OLCC license.
Work Environment

The primary work environment for this position is within a fast-paced and casual restaurant setting and outdoor seating area as weather permits.
