Job Overview

Arnold Machinery is seeking a skilled Shop Service Technician to join our team. As a Shop Service Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our heavy equipment fleet, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations organized and tidy
  • Perform routine light maintenance on equipment, including cleanliness, pre-inspection, and other tasks as needed
  • Repair and maintain heavy equipment, including using test and diagnostic equipment to make adjustments and repairs
  • Operate a forklift and overhead crane to handle and move components and parts during the repair process
  • Measure and identify parts and components for reusability or replacement, ordering new parts as required
  • Make warranty recommendations and reports in representation of prime products
  • Perform minor welding, fabrication, plumbing, and alignment tasks
  • Be willing to help out in other areas of the shop based on workload
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills may be required
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
  • General mechanical knowledge
