About the Role

The Kitchen Leader is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our food every day. This role involves overseeing the kitchen operations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and training crew members to become future kitchen leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food to order, following kitchen procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
  • Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crew members.
  • Develop and train crew members to become future kitchen leaders.
  • Communicate effectively with crew members and customers to ensure great customer service and throughput.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines to prevent injuries and accidents.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chipotle crew member.
  • Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
  • Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Restaurant experience.
