Maxim Healthcare Services is in search of a dedicated Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) who will take on the responsibility and accountability for implementing the nursing process and delivering exceptional patient care. The Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) will exhibit the capability to make clinical decisions effectively and efficiently under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Identify signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in patients' conditions.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
- Record the patient's care plan using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
- Execute interventions based on established priorities, care plans, and hospital policies to meet patient care outcome standards.
- Adjust the care plan according to evaluations, changes in medical plans, and the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
- Utilize clinical judgment in evaluation activities to address patient care needs on an assigned unit/floor, including establishing priorities.
- Perform other Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the relevant state.
- Valid Health Certificate (as per facility requirements).
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray documentation.
- Active BLS certification.
- Preferred: One year of prior experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
