About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Spears Manufacturing Co. as a Machine Shop Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual and CNC machining, as well as welding and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual and CNC machining equipment to produce high-precision parts
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks to meet production requirements
  • Read and interpret tool drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production
  • Work with minimal supervision to meet production deadlines
  • Collaborate with production team to optimize manufacturing processes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or trade school preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manual and CNC machining, welding, and fabrication
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret tool drawings and blueprints
  • Basic knowledge of cutting tool geometry, speeds, and feeds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Hurco mills, Fadal mills, or Romi lathes with Fanuc control
  • 3D mill M/CAM experience
  • Conventional mill/lathes/surface grinder/drill/saw/EDM experience
  • Ability to program equipment and know the concept well
