Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Systems Specialist to join our team at C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of large-scale industrial anhydrous ammonia and R-22 refrigeration systems, as well as industrial and office HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of large-scale industrial anhydrous ammonia and R-22 refrigeration systems.
  • Oversee the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of industrial and office HVAC systems.
  • Provide assistance to the Manager of Facilities Maintenance to ensure assets (Refrigeration/HVAC/Electrical systems) are managed in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Schedule and perform major repairs and rebuilds (excluding compressor rebuilds).
  • Recommend system upgrades and improvements.
  • Perform system inspections and mechanical integrity checks.
  • Participate extensively in the Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting.
  • Oversee or inspect system construction/installation activities.
  • Coordinate shutdowns and pumpdowns.
  • Administer preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
  • Responsible for daily communication of all pertinent information regarding system operation and maintenance to departmental management and maintenance teams.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree - General Studies.
  • Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) - Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association.
  • OSHA Level A Hazmat Certification (24Hours, Medical Certification) within 90 days of employment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in refrigeration and HVAC systems.
