Nursing Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary

The RN Supervisor is responsible for the operation of the nursing department and facility, organizing and maintaining staffing guidelines to meet resident needs. The role requires administrative and clinical expertise consistent with established standards of Nursing Practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize, oversee, and supervise assigned unit activities and staff assignments.
  • Monitor, observe, and document vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses.
  • Communicate and direct services ongoing or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, resident, family, or medical staff as needed.
  • Identify and follow disciplinary action as stated in policy.
  • Perform RN assessment to resident's post incidents or change in condition.
  • Lead and direct emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, and census roster.
Requirements

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Supervisor with progressive nursing experience and supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working with geriatric, short-term rehab, and Alzheimer's patients. The ability to work well under pressure, flexibility, and a willingness to assist residents and coworkers are essential.
