Community Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Community Support Professional to join our team at Central Arkansas Disability Services Inc. The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Support Services: Provide daily support and assistance to assigned individuals, including assistance with daily living tasks, transportation, and community activities.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services provided, including daily logs, ISP data, and medication records.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff members, and work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure high-quality services.
- Training and Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with disabilities.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in special education, psychology, or social work preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions: The Community Support Professional will work in a variety of settings, including homes, community centers, and other community-based locations. The position may require flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
