Job Summary Sign-on Bonus Available for Eligible Candidates

This role involves conducting noninvasive vascular assessments, providing preliminary analysis and documentation of test outcomes, and independently evaluating patient histories and examination requests. The specialist will assess findings to determine the severity of conditions and the necessity for further evaluations or urgent care referrals. Collaboration with healthcare providers is essential to facilitate appropriate patient management based on examination results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Verify that the correct procedures are followed, ensuring accurate patient identification and preparation for examinations, while maintaining confidentiality and proper documentation of clinical histories.
  • Implement suitable imaging techniques and optimize technical parameters to ensure patient safety and high-quality care, adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
  • Administer medications through established vascular access points as directed by a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Review images for proper alignment and quality, ensuring secure storage and transfer of data, including any necessary post-processing.
  • Provide education and supervision to students and other healthcare staff.
  • Conduct diagnostic vascular sonographic procedures as instructed by a licensed practitioner or during educational initiatives.

The work environment is primarily clinical. The specialist is accountable for fulfilling all job-specific responsibilities and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. Position Highlights Join a Supportive Team Environment

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

On-call Requirements: Weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or as a Registered Vascular Specialist from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required within six months of employment.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required; Associate's Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant work experience preferred.

Certifications: Registered Vascular Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); Basic Life Support Certification.
