Salary: Estimated salary range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00 per hour, depending on location and experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Network Automation Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining control networks, ladder logic programming, and plant software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Maintain Control Networks: Develop and implement efficient network architectures, ensuring seamless communication between devices and systems.
  • Ladder Logic Programming: Write and optimize complex logic programs to automate processes and improve productivity.
  • Plant Software Maintenance: Ensure the stability and performance of plant software, including calibration and troubleshooting of measuring instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Ethernet Network Management: Map and maintain detailed records of Ethernet networks, including IP addresses, wiring, switches, and cable patching.
  • PLC Logic Revision Control: Manage revision control of PLC logic, including PLC5, SLC500, and Compact/Contrologix, using Factory Talk View Studio, RSLogix500, and other tools.
  • System Integration: Ensure integration of Information Technology (IT) systems with Operations Technology (OT) systems, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Process Optimization: Edit and write ladder logic programming to optimize plant processes, improving efficiency and productivity.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Repair: Perform standard to complex repairs, receiving, adjusting, and installing new plant equipment, ensuring proper electrical performance.
  • Problem Diagnosis: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and similar problems, applying corrective action as needed.
  • Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams to perform maintenance or install plant equipment.
  • Advanced Electrician Duties: Use voltage meters to check high and low voltage readings, troubleshoot frequency drives, and replace I/O modules in a PLC.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience and 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of Ethernet networks, IP addressing, wiring, and cable patching; PLC5, SLC500, and Compact/Contrologix; Factory Talk View Studio, RSLogix500, and Panel View 32; ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.
