Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team at Nestle Operational Services Worldwide SA. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Safety and Health Manager in implementing policies and programs to ensure compliance with Nestle Purina PetCare "Safety" Programs and Loss Control objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure site compliance with company and regulatory agency policies.
  • Analyze SH&E conditions and behaviors and recommend changes to continuously improve site SH&E performance.
  • Routinely walk projects, contractor work sites, and areas where maintenance is being performed to ensure safety compliance per OSHA regulations.
  • Evaluate compliance with personal protective equipment requirements, check on contractor training, and review safety paperwork.
  • Administer training programs associated with safety and health, including "train the trainer" sessions to build capability of line supervision.
  • Coordinate and conduct Industrial Hygiene monitoring as needed according to schedule.
  • Collaborate to foster and develop a culture where safety and health are ingrained as a core value with all associates.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED and 1+ years' experience in a safety role in production, manufacturing, agriculture, industrial, military, or related environment.
  • Associates/2-year Degree in Safety or related field.
