Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for a prominent role within a leading independent exploration and production organization. This position will be based at a key terminal, where you will oversee a dedicated team of Mechanical technicians responsible for executing preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as project initiatives involving mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the Mechanical Maintenance operations, ensuring optimal performance of mechanical systems.
  • Facilitate effective communication of maintenance tasks to technicians, ensuring thorough risk assessments and control measures are in place.
  • Adhere to the site’s ISSOW protocols, including timely submission of Permit to Work requests and associated risk evaluations.
  • Diagnose and address mechanical equipment failures, implementing repairs that meet site standards and coordinating with technical resources as necessary.
  • Monitor and drive performance improvements against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the strategic planning and execution of shutdowns and major maintenance turnarounds.
  • Develop and implement Task Risk Assessment Checklists (TRAC).
  • Supervise and mentor Mechanical Technicians, fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Possess a minimum ONC or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in a maintenance capacity within the oil and gas sector.
  • Prior supervisory experience is essential.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license for operating company vehicles as required.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and leadership skills, along with proven supervisory capabilities.
  • Experience in conducting Risk Assessments and familiarity with ISSoW practices.
