Job Title: Nextgen EHR Manager

At JWCH Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled Nextgen EHR Manager to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare IT department, you will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Nextgen EHR software and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage large physical and virtual Microsoft Windows environment, including Nextgen EHR Server, and other servers.
  • Work with clinical, billing, I.T., and other staff to ensure best practices are being used on Nextgen EHR.
  • Develop implementation assessment and project plan.
  • Document current and proposed EHR clinical workflows.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations for options in the use of Nextgen EHR.
  • Assist with a variety of different client needs, ranging from telehealth assistance, billing and coding optimization, template development and customizations, and implementation and go-live support.
  • Support all users of application systems, timely implementation of an ongoing maintenance of applications, and provide the opportunity for enhanced user productivity.
  • Act as primary contact for client, serving as first responder for any needs, questions, and issues.
  • Work with project leadership and end-users to develop and complete implementation project tasks and deliver training courses.
  • Deploy and update Nextgen EHR servers, and apply latest patches.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Lead/supervise Nextgen training department.
  • Develop, maintain, and follow systems policies, procedures, documentations, and diagrams for Nextgen EHR.
  • Provides support for NextGen EHR/EPM/EDR and related systems.
  • Participate in meetings, discussions, and projects.
  • Ensures that all system changes are documented and communicated to the appropriate users and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for enhancing and supporting the health system's IT environment.
  • Manage project deliverables and system performance to meet service level agreements.
  • Communicate updates on the status of incidents, changes, requests, and deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Meaningful Use, Hedis Measures, HL7, SQL, and Crystal Reports.
  • Nextgen EPM, 5 years (Preferred).
  • NCP Certification preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows 7, 8, and 10.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, interpersonal, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability to work with non-technical end-users.
  • Minimum of 5 years in NextGen Healthcare system implementation experience and training capacity with deep functional, clinical informatics.
  • Experience working with primary care and specialist physician practices, including a demonstrated knowledge of practice operations and workflow.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
  • Experience within a healthcare environment is desired.
