Job Title: Case Aide, NCS Residence

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Aide to join our team at the Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter (NCS) Residence. As a Case Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the residents of our long-term, supportive housing facility on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Job Summary:

The Case Aide will provide administrative and programmatic support to the residents and staff of the NCS Residence. This includes maintaining the safety and security of the facility, providing medication monitoring services, and assisting with meals and kitchen duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to social services and a passion for working with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the front entrance and provide security for the residents and building
  • Document activity during shift in staff log and document information for placement in resident's files as appropriate
  • Provide medication monitoring services to tenants in need
  • Assist with meals for the residents as needed, including prepping and serving meals and kitchen clean-up
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Monitor compliance with Residence policies
  • Prepare meals for tenants
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in social service environment, particularly working with older homeless/formerly homeless, mentally ill, and/or chemically addicted individuals
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong English language written and verbal communication skills; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
