Ophthalmology Faculty Position at Rowan University's Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine

The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine at Rowan University is seeking an ophthalmologist to join its faculty. The successful candidate will be integral in developing the ophthalmology service housed within the new Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, currently under construction in New Jersey.
The selected candidate will provide comprehensive ophthalmology care in the clinical setting and have direct responsibility for teaching and evaluation of both DVM and veterinary technology students, interns, and residents. Didactic teaching of ophthalmology concepts within the pre-clinical years is an essential component of the role.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in small animal ophthalmology through completion of a residency program and be board-eligible or board-certified in ACVO or ECVO. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications:
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Completion of an ophthalmology training program with board-certification (or board-eligibility), ACVO or ECVO
- Demonstrated experience teaching veterinary students in a clinical setting, strongly preferred
- Currently licensed in or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- NJ CDS permit or obtained upon hire
- DEA registration or obtained upon hire
