**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer III to join our team in New Glenn Manufacturing Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting rocket engine assembly processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight.
- Identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules.
- Create, interpret, and modify work instructions and routings to convey procedures to technicians and trigger material planning.
- Develop processes compliant to industry quality systems such as AS9100.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing processes.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university.
- 5+ years direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing including working knowledge of GD&T.
- Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
- Ability to develop processes compliant to industry quality systems such as AS9100.
- Extremely customer-focused with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Aerospace/Launch vehicle experience.
- Engines prep/install, valves, manifolds, quick disconnects, subassemblies, and/or aerospace structural build experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in build planning, setting build precedence, and.
- Proficient with CAD, specifically Windchill, Creo, and Creo Illustrate.
- Capability to analyze GD&T from design engineering to set index plans and/or develop tooling to meet requirements.
- Experience setting up work centers to build aerospace mechanical assemblies.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Broad experience in hardware manufacturing: assembly, integration, instrumentation, cleaning, non-destructive testing, leak testing, final acceptance testing of integrated hardware, fabrication, machining, etc.
