JOB TITLE: Truss Laborer

FUNCTION: Fabricate roof and floor trusses for both residential and commercial applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Envision, articulate, strategize, communicate, and execute the company’s vision and core values.
  • Safely assemble floor and roof trusses in alignment with client specifications and company protocols.
  • Effectively interpret work orders and construction guidelines to produce a high-quality final product.
  • Precisely cut wood at angles for truss construction.
  • Secure gusset plates onto trusses using a hammer.
  • Feed trusses into the roller machine.
  • Transport and organize trusses.
  • Operate machinery as instructed and in compliance with established safety standards.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Practical skills in mathematics and measurement.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing production team.
  • Capability to meet performance goals in a time-sensitive and quality-focused setting.
  • Show initiative and dependability with minimal oversight.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Heavy physical requirements - regularly exerting up to 50 lbs of force.
  • Repetitive motions associated with hammering and other construction tasks.
  • Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
