About the Role

Columbia Sportswear is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic III to join our dynamic global Supply Chain team. As a key member of our Distribution Center team, you will be responsible for maintaining all equipment and facilities at our distribution center, with a focus on conveyor and sorter systems.

This includes, but is not limited to, motor swap out, ballast change, and component replacement. You will also be responsible for electrical equipment, as well as other types of equipment repair or preventative maintenance assignments in the building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance for all warehouse and office equipment to ensure proper operating conditions.
  • Maintain logs of all preventive and breakdown maintenance performed on conveyors, forklifts, and fire protection systems.
  • Perform light janitorial duties and other duties as assigned.
  • Complete tasks assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, ensuring all tasks are completed in a safe, timely, and correct manner.
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience maintaining warehouse equipment.
  • Good working knowledge of practices regarding hazard communication, chemical usage, material safety data sheets, lock out/tag out, emergency evacuation procedures, and emergency generation procedures.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, sit and stand for extended periods, regularly lift/carry up to 40 pounds, and move freely through the distribution center.
  • Able to use a variety of hand and powered tools and possess an aptitude for mechanics.
