Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our team at Bay Mills Indian Community. As an IT Intern, you will provide technical support to our IT personnel, assist with maintenance and upgrades of computer systems, and perform various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to IT personnel, resolving entry-level helpdesk issues and maintaining accurate records of work orders.
  • Assist with the upgrade, setup, and migration of PCs, as well as troubleshoot and analyze system problems.
  • Install software on client/server systems and ensure proper documentation of all work.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and complexity of the position.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license through the Bay Mills Gaming Commission and maintain eligibility throughout employment.
  • Should have some knowledge of computers and their components.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft office suite programs.
  • Knowledge of office equipment, such as photo copiers and fax machines.
  • Candidate must exhibit excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Must have excellent work history and attendance record as demonstrated by past employment references.

Working Conditions:

The employee may sit comfortably to do the work, but will periodically require physical exertion such as recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as computers, and monitors.
