Automotive Mechanic Job Description

As a skilled Automotive Mechanic at Superior Electrical Mechanical, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical problems, and inspecting and testing engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tune-ups, and brake replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems on gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment
  • Inspect and test engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and internal departments regarding repair status and job requirements
  • Experience with diesel motors and mobile generators is strongly desired
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure that all safety protocols are followed
  • Additional duties may be assigned to support the operations of the department

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent auto mechanic work experience
  • Communication and computer literacy requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check
  • English literacy skills
