About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist I PRN to join our team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
- Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved course in Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum two years of hospital training during an approved Radiologic Technologist program.
- Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices highly desirable.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- ARRT registration or registry eligibility, and active membership in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
