Role Overview
The Building Services/Custodian is essential for ensuring the ice arena operates safely and efficiently. This role is pivotal in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute positively to the guest experience by ensuring the facility is clean and well-maintained.
- Utilize various cleaning agents and tools effectively.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the ice arena.
- Deliver outstanding customer service during all operational hours and adhere to established policies.
- Be knowledgeable about emergency protocols and evacuation procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive demeanor and self-motivation.
- Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to learn to operate ice resurfacing machinery (valid California Driver's License required).
- Capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the role, including kneeling, bending, sweeping, mopping, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a cold environment.
- Must not have allergies to cleaning materials and solutions used.
- Availability for shifts that may extend into late night and/or early morning hours.
- Proficient in operating basic janitorial equipment (e.g., floor scrubber, vacuum, and hand tools).
