About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Medical Assistant to support our primary care providers in delivering high-quality patient care. As a Senior Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical areas, providing administrative support, and contributing to the overall success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient charts for daily scheduled appointments, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct thorough rooming activities, including vital signs, medication lists, and health maintenance overrides, to ensure a comprehensive patient assessment.
  • Obtain and document age-specific measurements, such as height, weight, and head circumference, with precision and accuracy.
  • Perform and document hearing, vision, respiratory, and ECG testing, as well as specific screenings based on condition or need.
  • Process specimens using the appropriate collection process and equipment, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Administer medications and immunizations, including oral, nasal, injectable, rectal, and topical routes, as appropriate.
  • Process medication prescription refills, handle prior authorization processes, and document accordingly.
  • Manage clinical supplies and medication sample areas, maintaining stock levels, storage, and labeling.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • One to three years of medical assistant experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification/ABR-OE strongly recommended.
  • Computer/EMR experience preferred.
