Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Manage the daily accountability of our logistics workforce, including drivers, clerks, specialists, and support staff.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Enforce DOT regulations, OSHA, C-TPAT, and company policies to ensure adherence to safety protocols and minimize risk.
  • Talent Development: Ensure the proper training and development of team members, maintaining operational proficiency and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Performance Monitoring: Hold the team accountable for operational requirements, equipment usage, uniform compliance, and productivity targets.
  • Technology Optimization: Drive efficient technology utilization across logistics software, reporting tools, and equipment operation to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  • Safety and Compliance: Oversee compliance with DOT Hours of Service, Pre/Post-Trip protocols, and coordinate with the Safety department to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Leadership by Example: Embody our core values of professionalism, quality, customer satisfaction, and ethical conduct, inspiring our logistics team to excel.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in management, transportation, or a related field (or Associate's degree with 4+ years' experience in logistics/operations)
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience in operations, logistics, or terminal management roles
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office 365, transportation software (TMW, Peoplenet, etc.), and reporting tools
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of transportation fleet modeling, DOT regulations, and C-TPAT
  • Soft Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, thriving in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Eligibility: Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance
