The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Rowan University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position.
This is a 10-month, non-tenure track teaching faculty position, with a teaching load of 24 credits over two semesters.
Candidates are sought to teach courses in various areas of mechanical engineering, such as Statics, Strength of Materials, Composite Materials, Machine Design, and Finite Element Analysis.
A D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required, along with excellent written and oral communication skills and relevant teaching experience with undergraduate students.
Teaching Professors are expected to contribute to the institution and profession through service and maintain a commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Newly hired faculty members will complement and expand research and engineering education expertise in the department and build strong connections with government/industry in the region and beyond.
