Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fabrication Specialist to join a prominent manufacturer of industrial machinery. This role is crucial in supporting the production of large piping systems that meet our growing demand.

Shift Details
  • 1st Shift (6am to 2:30pm)
    • Overtime: Opportunities available until 5pm, with occasional half days on weekends (not mandatory)
Compensation

Hourly Rate: $24/hr - $28/hr

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a welding position, with at least 1 year specifically as a Pipe Welder.
  • Prior experience in pipe welding at another manufacturing facility or possession of an ASME certification or completion of a Pipe Welding program.
  • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
  • Must be able to pass an ASME-certified G6 Test (GMAW, GTAW).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret custom blueprints and ensure all welds conform to the specifications for each machine.
  • Execute welding tasks in accordance with ASME code standards.
  • Successfully complete x-ray, dimensional tolerance, and hydrostatic weld tests to ensure quality.
  • Perform welding in various positions: flat, vertical, and overhead.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for cutting and grinding pipes.
  • Employ precision measuring instruments to assess grooves and angles.
