Network Specialist IV Job Description

RGNext is seeking a highly skilled Network Specialist IV to join our team at the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining classified and unclassified RTS range networks, providing senior-level troubleshooting, and creating technical solutions based on requirements and available resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain classified and unclassified RTS range networks
  • Provide senior-level troubleshooting of RTS range networks
  • Create technical solutions based on requirements and available resources
  • Provide engineering oversight to active projects and tasks
  • Provide tasking direction and support to others within the department
  • Attain a strong understanding of the RTS range and other assets involved in the execution of missions
  • Interface directly with internal and external mission entities during the planning and execution of missions
  • Review network configuration baselines to assure adherence with policy, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
  • Deploy and maintain all HAIPE type I encryptors within the RTS range networks
  • Perform and document periodic network performance testing
  • Audit and maintain active network documentation
  • Prepare reports, studies, and research as requested
  • Provide assistance to other departments as needed
Requirements:
  • In-depth experience architecting and troubleshooting Cisco network environments
  • Strong understanding and experience deploying multicast and QoS
  • Strong understanding and experience deploying 802.1x and PKI/X.509
  • Strong understanding and experience installing and configuring Palo Alto firewalls in a high-availability (HA) environment
  • Ability to support network automation through scripting (Python, Ansible, GitLab, etc)
  • Excellent English verbal and writing skills, including report preparation
  • Excellent customer interaction skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Network Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Eight or more years of professional experience designing, implementing, operating, and troubleshooting Cisco-based networks
  • In-depth experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) software operations and policy lifecycle
  • Active CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification
  • Active Security+ or equivalent DoD Directive M qualifying certification
  • Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Solarwinds is strongly desired
  • Experience supporting DoD/military networks is strongly desired
  • Experience supporting RMF accreditations is strongly desired
  • Experience supporting HAIPE type I encryptors is strongly desired
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted
