Northampton Spine Medicine

Our multispecialty medical facility at 22 Atwood Drive in Northampton, MA, is equipped with a state-of-the-art fluoroscopy suite for interventional and diagnostic procedures. We specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders causing neck, upper back, and low back pain, including sacroiliac problems.

Role Overview

We seek a full-time Medical Assistant to support our practice onsite, Monday through Friday, 7:45am-4:15pm. On Thursdays, this Medical Assistant will assist the provider with procedures at our 4 West Street location in Hatfield.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient patient flow through the office
  • Assist during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
  • Perform clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
  • Maintain neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
  • Interact with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification required
  • Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
  • Completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred
  • One (1) year technical/vocational training school program or one (1) to three (3) years' experience as a medical assistant preferred
