Job Overview:

The Retail Operations Team Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily functions of the sales floor, donation intake, and processing of contributed goods. This position is designed for seasoned retail professionals who are eager to advance within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality and quantity of donations processed for the sales floor.
  • Actively engage in donation collection, production tasks, and sales floor responsibilities.
  • Support the management team in evaluating product quality and assisting staff in achieving performance targets.
  • Communicate the organization's mission and values while promoting an inclusive workplace.
  • Provide training, coaching, and constructive feedback to enhance team skills in both sales and back-room operations.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and serve as a positive role model for retail associates.
  • Manage time efficiently and monitor team performance to ensure accuracy in task completion.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to optimize the store's financial outcomes.
  • May assume temporary managerial duties as needed, including overseeing store operations and processing donations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a retail environment.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates should be able to:

  • Lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform various physical tasks.
  • Work in a light industrial environment with exposure to varying conditions.
