Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Imaging Team at HCA Florida Englewood Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes to patients in accordance with physicians' orders.
  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film.
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns in a compassionate and respectful manner.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient information utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Assist with transporting patients as needed.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
  • AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification.
  • Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
