We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Imaging Team at HCA Florida Englewood Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes to patients in accordance with physicians' orders.
- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film.
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient information utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Assist with transporting patients as needed.
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
- AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification.
- Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
