Job Title: State and Local Tax Manager, Sales and Use

We are seeking a highly skilled State and Local Tax Manager, Sales and Use to join our team at KPMG. As a key member of our State and Local Tax practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service to multi-state companies with state and local tax issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on state and local tax compliance, advisory services, planning, technology, and controversies.
  • Review and prepare state sales and use tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support clients with state and local tax controversies, including preparing for discussions with auditors, representing clients at hearings, and preparing protests.
  • Research and draft technical memoranda on state and local tax questions.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff members.
  • Assist with business development, management, and delivery of state and local tax services.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of experience in tax research and providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, MST, or certified member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (CMI).
  • Excellent writing, communication, and tax research skills.
