Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Precision Cleaning Facility team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians in the precision cleaning, chemical processing, and inspection of aerospace hardware for various spaceflight systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise personnel, including recruiting, performance reviews, coaching, and managing work schedules and labor hours.
  • Promote teamwork and good employee morale.
  • Work with engineers to review design concepts, provide feedback, and support process development.
  • Manage resource projections and personnel assignments to meet demanding schedules.
  • Provide status updates on hardware deliveries at daily schedule meetings.
  • Develop training programs and ensure team members' training records are accurate.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards in accordance with released engineering.
  • Maintain stock of consumable items and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Implement and enforce 5S and FOD controls.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or maintenance of chemical, fluid, and mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of drawing and work order review, and familiarity with issue tracking systems.
  • Strong organization and people skills in a team environment with multiple dynamic priorities.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years leading teams working on fluid systems with applied chemistry fundamentals.
  • Certification in precision cleaning, chemical processing, and hardware inspection.
  • Familiarity with standard aerospace manufacturing materials and chemical compatibility.
  • Experience inspecting and troubleshooting aerospace or military hardware.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM drawing packages and software systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
