At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer II, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our spacecraft systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement precision cleaning and contamination control processes for spacecraft manufacturing environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize manufacturing processes and procedures
- Provide technical expertise on cleaning and contamination control activities, including process development and validation
- Support production teams in ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
- Participate in the development and optimization of new process specifications and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (materials, chemical, mechanical, aerospace, electrical, etc.) or physical sciences
- Understanding of AMS 2700, IEST-STD-CC1246E, and ISO 14644 processes and procedures
- Knowledge of precision cleaning processes or contamination control practices
- Experience with reviewing engineering drawings and specifications to provide insight and interpretation for production and operations personnel
- Ability to develop technical processes, qualification, and scaling for production
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or physical sciences
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the fabrication, application, and evaluation of aerospace materials and products
- Experience resolving non-conformances and developing MRB and standard repair procedures
- Knowledge of materials compatibility with Cryogenics, hypergolics, and space environments
