Manufacturing Process Engineer II

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer II, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our spacecraft systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement precision cleaning and contamination control processes for spacecraft manufacturing environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Provide technical expertise on cleaning and contamination control activities, including process development and validation
  • Support production teams in ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Participate in the development and optimization of new process specifications and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (materials, chemical, mechanical, aerospace, electrical, etc.) or physical sciences
  • Understanding of AMS 2700, IEST-STD-CC1246E, and ISO 14644 processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of precision cleaning processes or contamination control practices
  • Experience with reviewing engineering drawings and specifications to provide insight and interpretation for production and operations personnel
  • Ability to develop technical processes, qualification, and scaling for production
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or physical sciences
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the fabrication, application, and evaluation of aerospace materials and products
  • Experience resolving non-conformances and developing MRB and standard repair procedures
  • Knowledge of materials compatibility with Cryogenics, hypergolics, and space environments
