Job Overview:
As the Laboratory Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the essential phases of laboratory testing, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards. You will play a pivotal role in leading daily laboratory functions, acting as a key resource for technical staff, and providing guidance on various inquiries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Managing the operational aspects of the laboratory, including human resources and budget oversight.
- Conducting performance evaluations and facilitating corrective actions.
- Participating in the recruitment and training of new laboratory personnel.
- Developing and monitoring quality indicators to promote continuous improvement.
In this role, you will collaborate with other departments to enhance workflow efficiency and improve overall customer satisfaction. You will work closely with department leadership to implement the organization's vision and standards.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate degree in laboratory or biological sciences is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Candidates should possess at least two years of relevant laboratory experience.
National laboratory certification or eligibility through an approved agency is preferred. Continuing education credits must be maintained as per state requirements.
