Job Summary:Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, the LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care to residents/patients, implementing and evaluating their plans of care, and supervising the performance of nursing assistants. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each resident/patient.
- Supervise and direct the activities of nursing assistants, ensuring that they are providing high-quality care and adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Licensed in the State as an LPN.
- Current CPR certification.
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment, including feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, and medication carts.
- Able to calculate drug dosages and administer medications accurately.
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law.
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
