Job Overview

The Sales Associate will facilitate, promote, and support Cardinal Health's designated products through educational and field-based selling initiatives to meet sales targets across various categories in the assigned region, while fostering clinical and distributor partnerships.


Territory:

Michigan, Indiana, and Chicago, Illinois


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver in-service support (technical, clinical, and educational) in acute hospital environments to hospital clients and the field sales team under the guidance of the Region Director.
  • Primary product categories include, but are not limited to, Compression, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, Nutritional Delivery, and Cardiology.
  • In addition to in-servicing, the Sales Associate will handle troubleshooting, manage contracts, assist with conferences, analyze GPO tier reports, and support open territories, among other tasks.
  • Report to the Region Director, with a broad responsibility for enhancing and promoting the sales of assigned product lines by assisting the field organization.
  • Complete the same training curriculum as an Account Representative, including Field Training and Advanced Corporate Training, to enable associates to deliver effective presentations of all assigned products.
  • Assist in the scheduling, coordination, and execution of in-services, educational events, and value-added programs at accounts identified by the Region Director.
  • Support Account Representatives in coordinating and monitoring product evaluations as determined by the Region Director or Account Representative.
  • Manage activities in open territories (promotions, terminations, extended leaves, etc.).
  • Enhance knowledge through participation in educational programs, seminars, and conferences, as well as by reading relevant journals and engaging in committee or group initiatives.
  • Assist in preparation for significant meetings as identified by the Region Director, including creating presentations, preparing sample packs and literature, and providing support during meeting presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Region Director on cross-references and pricing analysis, including reviewing GPO reports to identify opportunities for 'tier level clean-up' and providing summaries to Sales Representatives and the Region Director.

Qualifications:
  • 0-2 years in a sales or marketing role preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Customer-focused and results-driven; action-oriented with a strong work ethic and career ambition.
  • Able to develop and present demonstrations for complex products.
  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel 75% as necessary, including overnight and/or weekends.
  • Openness to regional relocation within 24 months of employment.

Compensation:

Anticipated salary range: $55,400 - $79,200. Bonus eligible: No.
