Key Responsibilities- Accounts Payable Support: Provide senior-level bookkeeping support to the department of Accounts Payable, including the review of invoices, payment processing, and reconciliation of agency travel arrangements and payments.
- Expense Management: Act as the primary point of contact for expense management software questions and assist with the distribution of workload during high volume periods.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain departmental records and supplies for accounts payable, perform data entry, filing, scanning, and provide support to the Office of Financial Affairs as needed.
- Vendor Payments: Process payments to vendors against purchase orders or as direct payments, perform check inquiries, voids, and stop payments for vendor and student payments.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare various monthly reconciliations and accounts payable reports as required, and assist with testing of software program upgrades.
- Team Supervision: Assist with the supervision and training of student employees and coordinate accounts payable records and offsite storage and destruction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word: Required.
- Previous Bookkeeping or Accounts Payable Experience: Required.
- Experience with Database Systems: Required.
- Demonstrated Problem-Solving Skills and Interpersonal Skills: Required.
- Proactive with Strong Attention to Detail: Required.
- Ability to Handle Confidential and Sensitive Information: Required.
- Customer Service Orientation and Excellent Communication Skills: Required.
