About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organized Activity Assistant to join our team at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the efforts of the Activity Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing recreational services to address the individualized needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide activities with entertainment, exercise, fun, and relaxation for residents.
  • Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of quality activities in accordance with resident care plans.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of activity calendars, communication materials, and documentation of resident activities.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families.
  • Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation.
  • Complete other duties at the discretion of management.

Requirements
  • One year of job-related experience, preferably in long-term care.
  • Motivated and organized team-player.
  • Must be creative, enjoy working with seniors, and have successful experience motivating residents to participate in activities.
  • A professional team player with a commitment to maintaining a reliable shift history.
  • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on providing genuine hometown care.
