The Lead Teller Operations Manager will be accountable for overseeing the front-line team members in accordance with established procedures.

Core Duties

Supervises daily operations by delegating tasks, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with intricate transactions and sensitive member relations.

Communicates policies and procedures effectively to both members and team members.

Ensures comprehensive training and cross-training of Member Service Representatives to deliver exceptional service and maintain transaction accuracy.

Develops, implements, and assesses departmental policies and procedures.

Maintains an up-to-date understanding of all relevant State and Federal regulations applicable to Member Services transactions.

Ensures adherence to safety and security protocols.

Vault Management

Acts as a vault teller, responsible for ordering cash and currency, verifying cash received, fulfilling teller cash requests, ensuring vault security, and balancing vault cash on a daily basis.

Authorizes member exceptions when appropriate.

Operational Oversight

Monitors daily cash availability and manages money orders.

Investigates teller discrepancies and implements corrective measures or disciplinary actions as necessary.

Continuously evaluates workflow to determine staffing needs and oversees work schedules for both full-time and part-time employees to ensure optimal member service.

Member Engagement

Welcomes members to the Credit Union and answers inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Maintains cash drawers to ensure adequate staffing in the Member Service area.

Efficiently opens new member accounts, ensuring compliance with all identification and documentation procedures.

Handles account verification requests while maintaining confidentiality of all member and Credit Union information.

Additional Responsibilities

May assist with processing ACH and/or Share Draft exceptions and monitoring assigned General Ledger accounts.

Supports other Credit Union staff as needed, fostering a positive and professional environment.

May assist in the opening and closing of the Credit Union as directed.

Qualifications

Experience in cash handling and customer service is essential. Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred.
